Dear Daniel,
There are two types of AA+, one with slight colour on the 6th row edges, the other, golden head features. This batch of Rose gold belonged to the earlier type, that is, with NO golden head features.
Of course, an AA+ golden head will surely cost much much more than a AA+ with only slight colour on the 6th row, like the batch which is currently being sold at Pet Pro.
As to why the pricing of arowanas are a little lower now, it all boils down to market conditions of supply and demand. In fact, most farms will have alot of arowanas for sale, I guess, in January-March of every year, given the fact that August-December are the peak breeding season.
Calculate and add 3-4 months for any arowana to grow to 5-6 inches, in order to be ready for sale, and you would soon realise that stock is in abundance these two to three months.
Regards.
